Due to high winds and heavy rains today, Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) is taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety of students, staff, and families.

All IPS after-school events and sports practices and competitions have been canceled today. This includes the 8th grade band field trip and extracurricular late buses.

"Please Note: After-care services will still take place as scheduled today."

IPS families should expect bus delays due to the weather, which may also cause poor Wi-Fi and app signals from buses.

"Please stay safe and check official IPS communications channels for any updates or changes to this information."
