Oct. 12 PSAT Day Schedule: Info for all classes

PSAT Day is Oct. 12, 2022 : All Freshmen, Sophomores & Juniors will take the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) on that day. Seniors have 2 options for the day.

Freshmen:

Sophomores and Juniors

  • These classes will take the PSAT/NMSQT.
  • JUNIORS can qualify for scholarships by taking the PSAT!
  • Read about the test
Seniors

  • Seniors who signed up will take the SAT School Day ( Read SAT School Day Info here)
  • All other seniors may use this as a College Visit day and are not expected to attend school.
Schedule for the day

  • Where to go: Unless otherwise notified, you will test in your seminar room.
  • Arrival: Arrive at school in uniform at the normal school start time and go directly to your testing room.
  • Dismissal: School will be dismissed around 11:30.
  • Lunch will NOT be served on the day. You may bring snacks/water to eat during breaks if needed.
What to Bring:

  1. TWO NON-MECHANICAL pencils and your approved calculator (Read Calculator Policy)
  2. A personal email address so you can get notified when your scores are ready.
  3. If you bring a phone and/or smartwatch into the test room, you will have to turn it off and turn it in – it will be returned after testing.
  4. You may bring snacks/water to eat during breaks if needed.
  5. You cannot bring books to read or anything else to work on if you finish early.
How to Prepare

  • All students can view practice problems for free through Kahn Academy (Go to Kahn Academy)
  • Sophomores and Juniors can also look through the Student Guide you received in Seminar.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast and get a good night’s sleep.
