The Broad Ripple High School Alumni Association is organizing its annual Homecoming Parade and Celebration to honor the school's legacy and mark the 2024 reopening of Broad Ripple Middle School. The event will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Broad Ripple High School campus and Broad Ripple Village in Indianapolis.
The parade is described as the only Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) school parade and the largest north of downtown Indianapolis. It will include marching bands, floats, decorated vehicles, and alumni from graduating classes between 1952 and 2018.
This year’s Grand Marshal is Dennis Bland, a 1983 graduate of Broad Ripple High School and President of the Center for Leadership Development.
Curtis Baker, President of the BRHS Alumni Association and member of the class of 1975, stated: “Broad Ripple High School may no longer exist as we knew it, but its rich legacy lives in each and every one of us. We want to keep our Mighty Rockets traditions alive. We Are One.”
