State Representative Ed Soliday was honored with Indiana's highest accolade, the Sagamore of the Wabash award, by Governor Eric Holcomb. The ceremony took place on January 8, 2025, in the governor's office at the Statehouse in Indianapolis.

During his tenure spanning nearly two decades as a state representative for Valparaiso, Soliday has held key positions such as chairing the House Roads and Transportation Committee. Since 2020, he has also chaired the House Utilities, Energy and Telecommunications Committee.

The Sagamore of the Wabash award is a tradition that dates back to the 1940s when it was established by former Governor Ralph Gates. It represents the highest honor bestowed by an Indiana governor and recognizes Hoosiers who have made significant contributions to their state.
