Applications are now open for the Indiana House Page Program for the 2025 legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. State Representatives Cory Criswell and Lindsay Patterson have announced that Hoosier students aged 13 to 18 are invited to participate.
Criswell highlighted the educational benefits of the program, stating, "Being a page is not only a way for students to learn up close how government works, but they can also meet their state representative and work in a professional environment." He encouraged students from his district to apply.
The program allows students to assist lawmakers and staff, tour the Indiana Statehouse, and observe legislative sessions. Applications and available dates can be found at IndianaHouseRepublicans.com/PageProgram. The session begins on January 8 and concludes by April 29.
Patterson emphasized the value of the experience: "The House Page Program is a great way for students to learn more about state government and interact with the lawmakers who represent them." She urged eligible students to take part in this opportunity.
Students can participate on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the session. Large groups may attend on Wednesdays by contacting the page program director at 317-232-9410 or pageprogram@iga.in.gov. Participants will receive an excused absence from school but must arrange their own lunch and transportation.
State Rep. Cory Criswell represents House District 54, which includes parts of Hancock, Henry, Rush, and Shelby counties.
