Applications are now open for the Indiana House Page Program during the 2025 legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. This opportunity is available to Hoosier students aged 13 to 18, as announced by State Representatives Lorissa Sweet and Craig Snow.

Representative Sweet stated that students are invited to assist lawmakers and staff, tour the Indiana Statehouse, and observe the legislative session. "Paging at the Statehouse gives students a behind-the-scenes look at what happens on a daily basis during the legislative session," she said. Sweet encouraged eligible students from her district to apply promptly.

The program's applications can be accessed at IndianaHouseRepublicans.com/PageProgram, which also provides information on available days during the session starting January 8 and concluding by April 29.

Representative Snow highlighted the benefits of this program for young Hoosiers: "The page program is great for young Hoosiers as they are able to meet with local leaders and see the legislative process." He emphasized that all participating students could gain valuable insights from this experience.

Students will have opportunities to participate on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the session. They will receive an excused absence from school for their participation. Larger groups may attend on Wednesdays only, with scheduling through contact with the page program director via phone or email.

Participants must arrange their own lunch and transportation to and from Indianapolis.

State Representative Lorissa Sweet represents House District 50, covering Huntington County and parts of Miami, Wabash, and Wells counties.
