Applications are now open for the Indiana House Page Program for the 2025 legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. State Representative Lindsay Patterson, representing Brookville, announced that Hoosier students aged 13 to 18 are invited to participate.
Patterson highlighted the educational benefits of the program: "The House Page Program is a great way for students to learn more about state government and interact with the lawmakers who represent them," she stated. "I encourage eligible students to participate and experience Indiana's legislative process."
Students can apply online at IndianaHouseRepublicans.com/PageProgram, where they will also find available dates during the session, which runs from January 8 through April 29. Participants will have the chance to assist lawmakers and staff, tour the Statehouse, and observe legislative proceedings.
Paging opportunities are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Large groups may schedule visits on Wednesdays by contacting the page program director at 317-232-9410 or via email at pageprogram@iga.in.gov. Students will receive an excused absence from school but must arrange their own lunch and transportation.
