Brookside Elementary will host the Mayor’s Backpack Giveaway on Sunday, July 21st from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. The event, organized in partnership with the Mayor’s Latino Advisory Council, aims to help local students prepare for the 2024-2025 school year.
The giveaway is free for Indianapolis families and will feature various activities. Students can receive new backpacks, and snacks and drinks will be available. Music will be played as families connect with each other and learn about community programs and services.
All local families are invited to attend the event at Brookside Elementary School’s gym located at 3150 E. 10th St.
