Indianapolis Public Schools is seeking volunteers to coach Special Olympics 3-on-3 basketball teams at its high schools. The district aims to have at least one coach for each school, increasing opportunities for students to participate in the program.

Teams are generally made up of five players. Coaches will be able to arrange practices according to their own schedules and the availability of facilities.

The school district is encouraging staff members, parents, and community volunteers who are interested in supporting students and fostering inclusive athletic programs to consider applying for these coaching positions.

Those interested or wishing to recommend someone can contact Matthew Mccomish at mccomishm@myips.org. According to the district, "Coaching Special Olympics is a rewarding way to connect with students and strengthen our school community."
