André Carson, a U.S. Congressman representing Indiana’s 7th district since 2008, recently addressed several national issues in a series of posts on his social media account.

On October 16, 2025, Carson highlighted concerns about the impact of Republican policy changes on healthcare premiums. He quoted a constituent named Jackie: "Premiums are likely to double or even triple next year because of Republican cuts to the ACA. We will not be able to afford this drastic increase…my husband is 62 years old.” Carson added, "Folks like Jackie are exactly why Democrats are fighting so hard."

The following day, October 17, Carson commented on the delayed swearing-in of Rep-Elect Adelita Grijalva from Arizona. He wrote: "Rep-Elect Adelita Grijalva was elected to represent Arizona. Speaker Johnson could swear her in at any time, including today’s Pro Forma session — but he won't. This is a blatantly political and petty tactic and goes directly against the will of the people. I'm calling on"

On October 18, Carson drew attention to nationwide rallies and free speech rights amid what he described as "Trump administration attacks." He stated: "Today, millions across the country are attending peaceful No Kings rallies. Amid Trump administration attacks on free speech, it’s important to know your rights. Carson has represented Indiana's 7th District since succeeding Julia Carson in 2008 and previously served on the Indianapolis City-County Council from 2007 to 2008. Born in Indianapolis in 1974 and holding a BA from Concordia University Wisconsin (2003), he remains an active figure both locally and nationally.
