Indiana House Republicans are looking for student interns to join the 2026 legislative session, according to State Representative Matt Lehman. The program is open to college students, recent graduates, and those enrolled in graduate or law school.
The internship offers paid, full-time positions and provides practical experience with state government operations. Interns will be assigned to staff members and work closely with groups of state representatives. Lehman emphasized the benefits of the program for participants: "Internships give students a real advantage in today's job market," he said. "Our program complements classroom learning by offering practical, hands-on experience that helps students strengthen their skills and stand out to future employers."
Internship roles are available in areas such as legislative operations, policy, and communications. Participants will have opportunities to engage with legislators, interact with state agencies and private sector organizations, and attend a weekly speaker series featuring civic leaders from Indiana.
Applications must be submitted online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship by October 31.
