Indiana House Republicans are looking for student interns for the 2026 legislative session, according to State Representative Dave Hall. The program is open to college students, recent graduates, and those in graduate or law school. The internships are paid and require full-time work at the Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis from January through March.

Hall described the internship as a way for students to learn about state government by participating directly in the legislative process. "From assisting constituents to seeing legislation get passed and signed into law, interns have a front row seat to the entire legislative process," Hall said. "It's an experience that not only teaches but also inspires future leaders."

Interns will be assigned to work with staff members and groups of state representatives. They will have opportunities to interact with legislators, state agencies, private sector organizations, and attend a weekly speaker series featuring Indiana civic leaders.

Positions are available in legislative operations, policy, and communications. Applications can be submitted online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship and must be received by October 31.
