State Rep. Lori Goss-Reaves (R-Marion) recently took part in the White House State Leadership Conference held in Washington, D.C. The event brought together Indiana's elected officials and White House representatives to discuss major issues impacting residents of the state.

Goss-Reaves highlighted her interactions with senior White House staff and Cabinet secretaries, including Vice President JD Vance. She noted that the conference provided an opportunity for state legislators to consider ways to enhance Indiana's relationship with President Trump's administration.

The lawmaker pointed out that several policy areas where Indiana is seen as a leader were discussed during the meeting, such as efforts to improve education, public safety, and reduce bureaucracy.

"Joining fellow legislators at the White House State Leadership Conference emphasized the importance of strong collaboration," Goss-Reaves said. "From education to infrastructure and public safety, these conversations with national leaders highlighted ways the state and federal government can work together to support a brighter future for Hoosiers.”

She also stated that open dialogue between different levels of government benefits both lawmakers and their communities.

The conference featured a question-and-answer session where lawmakers could engage directly with speakers and agency representatives.

Goss-Reaves represents House District 31, which covers parts of Grant and Madison counties.
