The Deller Farm in Warrick County has been recognized with a Hoosier Homestead Centennial Award for operating continuously since 1923. The award was presented as part of the state's program to honor family farms that have remained under the same family's ownership and operation for at least 100 years.

State Rep. Cindy Ledbetter (R-Newburgh) commented on the significance of the recognition, stating, "Indiana farm families have been feeding the world for generations, and we honor them with Hoosier Homestead awards. Even after many years of hard work and commitment to the land, these farmers continue to build our state into the gold standard of American agriculture."

The Hoosier Homestead awards are given in centennial, sesquicentennial, or bicentennial categories, recognizing farms owned by one family for 100, 150, or 200 years. State Sen. Vaneta Becker (R-Evansville) added, "Receiving a Hoosier Homestead award is a testament to agricultural greatness not many are able to achieve. I am proud to represent the Deller Farm and be a part of giving them the recognition they so clearly deserve."

The Deller Farm was among 95 Indiana farms honored during a recent ceremony at the Indiana State Fair. Since its start in 1976, more than 6,000 farms have received this recognition from Indiana for their role in supporting both economic growth and cultural heritage across the state.

Ceremonies are held each spring and summer. Information about nomination forms for future awards can be found at https://www.in.gov/isda/. Nominations for next March's ceremony must be submitted by November 1.

State Rep. Cindy Ledbetter represents House District 75, which includes parts of Gibson, Pike, and Warrick counties.
