TEH Farms LLC in Vermillion County has been recognized with the Hoosier Homestead Centennial Award for its continuous operation since 1921. State Rep. Tim Yocum (R-Clinton) and State Sen. Spencer Deery (R-West Lafayette) acknowledged the farm’s achievement.
"Our farm families have shaped Vermillion County and the surrounding area for decades," said Yocum. "Their tireless commitment to agriculture and family values deserves to be recognized, and I'm honored to celebrate their achievements."
The Hoosier Homestead awards program honors Indiana farms that have remained in the same family for at least 100 years, with additional recognition at 150 and 200 years of operation.
"These family farms are a bridge that connects our modern era to Indiana's history and agricultural heritage," Deery stated. "All Hoosiers should feel a sense of pride that for centuries, we have been a place where the agricultural spirit has thrived and that that culture continues today. Families like these make me so grateful to live in America's heartland."
TEH Farms LLC was one of 95 recipients honored during a recent ceremony at the Indiana State Fair. The event highlighted the contributions of longstanding family farms across the state.
The Hoosier Homestead program holds ceremonies each spring and summer, recognizing farms for their economic and cultural impact since its start in 1976. More than 6,000 farms have received recognition through this initiative. Details about nominations for future awards can be found on the Indiana Department of Agriculture website at in.gov/isda, with forms due by Nov. 1 for consideration in March 2026.
State Rep. Tim Yocum represents House District 42, which covers all of Parke and Vermillion counties as well as parts of Clay, Fountain, and Vigo counties.
