Congressman Jefferson Shreve, who represents Indiana’s 5th congressional district, has recently highlighted his legislative and community engagement efforts on social media. In a series of posts from late July 2025, Shreve addressed national security concerns, upcoming constituent outreach, and recognition of military service.
On July 23, 2025, Shreve emphasized the importance of export control enforcement by stating, "Export Control Officers help prevent adversaries including China from accessing sensitive U.S. technology. I co-led legislation that strengthens our export control enforcement. Congress must safeguard America's competitive technological edge over our adversaries."
Two days later, on July 25, he announced plans to engage with constituents throughout the summer: "I’m eager to launch my Hoosier Heartland Tour for the summer! For 7 months, I’ve been working to deliver for our communities. I'm eager to share my work and bring these wins back home. I look forward to many meaningful visits and conversations with constituents as I travel across".
Later that same day, Shreve shared news about a recent honor received by his Washington office: "Our Washington office was presented with the U.S. Army seal by Major David Prewitt. He’s an officer from the 82nd Airborne Division down in Fort Bragg, NC. We'll proudly display the Army’s seal in our Capitol Hill office, as a tribute to the oldest and largest branch of our Armed".
Congressman Shreve has served Indiana's 5th district since being elected in 2024 and is known for focusing on issues related to national security and local economic development.
