André Carson, U.S. Congressman representing Indiana’s 7th district since 2008, addressed a range of issues in recent social media posts, including local facility concerns, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and developments related to the Epstein files.
On July 22, 2025, Carson commented on a situation involving a facility in Indiana: "We cannot allow this Hoosier facility to be turned into another Alligator Alcatraz."
Later that day, he highlighted the humanitarian situation in Gaza by stating: "15 people have died of starvation in Gaza in the past 24 hours — including a 6-week-old baby. Mothers and fathers have no food or water to survive or feed their children. Families waiting in line for humanitarian aid are being indiscriminately shot. This is a moral catastrophe."
On July 24, Carson referenced actions by Congress regarding files connected to Jeffrey Epstein: "The DOJ told President Trump that his name appears in the Epstein files - back in May. Congress was supposed to be in session today, but House Republicans adjourned early to avoid a vote on releasing the Epstein files. They would rather protect the powerful than give Americans"
Carson has represented Indiana’s 7th District since succeeding Julia Carson in 2008 and previously served on the Indianapolis City-County Council from 2007 to 2008. Born and residing in Indianapolis, Carson earned his BA from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2003.
