André Carson, a U.S. Congressman representing Indiana's 7th district since 2008, recently shared his thoughts and activities on social media. Carson, who succeeded Julia Carson in Congress and previously served on the Indianapolis City-County Council, used his platform to highlight various issues and events.

On June 17, 2025, Carson expressed his support for RecycleForce, an organization focused on job creation and environmental sustainability. He mentioned bringing "millions of dollars to support jobs, second chances, and a cleaner future." During a visit to their daily meeting called Circle of Trust, he remarked on the honor of participating and anticipated returning soon. "l've long supported @RecycleForce’s mission..."

Later that day, Carson addressed concerns about law enforcement practices in another post. He criticized masked agents for arresting individuals without due process and highlighted the gravity of such actions when they involve elected officials. His statement underscored the illegality of these arrests: "Masked agents arresting anyone without due process is breaking the law."

On June 18, 2025, Carson celebrated Juneteenth by engaging with young Black leaders through the EMPOWER Black Resource Group at Group 1001. He emphasized the prevalence of Black excellence within communities and encouraged young leaders to continue asserting their presence: "Black excellence is everywhere in our community."

Carson was born in Indianapolis in 1974 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University Wisconsin.
