State Rep. Cory Criswell recently welcomed a group of local students to the Indiana Statehouse, where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2025 legislative session.
The program provides Hoosier students with a practical opportunity to understand the legislative process and engage with state leaders. "The page program offers an excellent opportunity to learn firsthand what state government does," said Criswell. "From networking with legislators to experiencing a professional environment, there is something for all students interested in government to take away."
Students who served as pages included Dane Purvis and Ellie Hall from New Castle Middle School, Nora Hamilton from Tri Junior Senior High School, and Xavier Wilkinson from Knightstown High School. During their day at the Statehouse, these students interacted with lawmakers and staff, toured the facility, and observed legislative proceedings on the House floor alongside Criswell.
Criswell encourages students aged 13 to 18 to consider participating in the page program during the 2026 legislative session. Interested individuals can contact his Statehouse office for more information.
