"Much of this activity is fueling other criminal activities, from human trafficking to counter-narcotics to potentially even terrorism," he stated. He underscored the importance of addressing this issue at a national level due to its potential impact on national security.

In February, Young led a subcommittee hearing titled “Grand Theft Cargo: Examining the Costly Threat to Consumers and the U.S. Supply Chain,” aiming to delve deeper into these challenges.
