U.S. Senator Todd Young from Indiana addressed an audience at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) event, emphasizing the significance of critical minerals in ensuring national, economic, and energy security. The event also marked the release of CSIS's new policy book titled “Critical Minerals and the Future of the U.S. Economy.”

Senator Young highlighted concerns about China's actions regarding mineral resources. "The Chinese Communist Party is aggressively attempting to monopolize critical minerals resources, and the United States urgently needs to diversify our supply chains and strengthen ties with allies," he stated.

In his efforts to bolster America's independence in critical minerals, Senator Young has introduced legislative measures such as the STRATEGIC Minerals Act and the Critical Materials Future Act during this Congress session.
