Applications are now open for the Indiana House Page Program for the 2025 legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. State Representatives Matt Commons (R-Williamsport) and Kendell Culp (R-Rensselaer) announced that Hoosier students aged 13 to 18 are invited to participate.
Commons highlighted the program as an opportunity for young Hoosiers to engage with the legislative process. "The Indiana House Page Program is a great way for young Hoosiers to experience our state's legislative session," Commons said. "I am excited to get to know students from House District 13 and show them what part a representative plays in the lawmaking process."
The application can be accessed at IndianaHouseRepublicans.com/PageProgram, where available dates during the session, which runs from January 8 through April 29, are listed.
Culp also encouraged participation, stating, "From January to April, we will allow students to participate in Indiana's legislative process and learn more about our state's history. I encourage young Hoosiers to take part in this informative program."
Students have the option to page on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the session and will receive an excused absence from school. Larger groups may attend on Wednesdays only by contacting the page program director at 317-232-9410 or pageprogram@iga.in.gov.
Participants must arrange their own lunch and transportation to and from Indianapolis.
Rep. Matt Commons represents House District 13, which includes Benton and Warren counties along with parts of Fountain, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Tippecanoe, and White counties.
