Applications are now open for the Indiana House Page Program during the 2025 legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. Marion County legislators have announced that students aged 13 to 18 are invited to participate.

State Representative Bob Behning (R-Indianapolis) stated, "Serving as a page during the legislative session is a great, hands-on lesson in civics for young Hoosiers." He encouraged interested students to apply quickly due to limited availability.

The program offers students an opportunity to assist lawmakers and staff, tour the Indiana Statehouse, and observe legislative sessions. Applications and available dates can be found at IndianaHouseRepublicans.com/PageProgram. The session begins on January 8 and concludes by April 29.

"This program is a good opportunity for students to learn more about how the laws that impact all Hoosiers are made," said State Representative Andrew Ireland (R-Indianapolis). He urged eligible students not to delay their applications.

State Representative Julie McGuire (R-Indianapolis) expressed her enthusiasm for meeting pages from her district, stating, "They get to participate in a professional setting and have an inside look of the Statehouse."

According to State Representative Chris Jeter (R-Fishers), pages will work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays with excused absences from school. Large groups may attend on Wednesdays by contacting the page program director at 317-232-9410 or pageprogram@iga.in.gov. Jeter remarked, "Learning about Indiana's government early on can leave a huge impact."

Students must arrange their own lunch and transportation to and from the Statehouse in Indianapolis.
