Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) has announced the closure of all its schools and buildings on Monday, January 6, due to severe weather conditions. The district has also canceled all athletic events and before and after-school activities scheduled for that day.
In response to this closure, IPS has decided to convert Tuesday, February 18, which was originally set aside as a professional development day, into a regular school day requiring in-person attendance.
The announcement encourages students and staff to enjoy the unexpected snow day.
