With the upcoming legislative session on the horizon, lawmakers from Bartholomew County are urging Hoosiers to participate in online surveys to provide feedback on key issues. The surveys can be accessed through state representatives' webpages by clicking on the "Take My Survey" button.

State Rep. Ryan Lauer (R-Columbus) of House District 59, State Rep. Jennifer Meltzer (R-Shelbyville) of House District 73, and State Rep. Jim Lucas (R-Seymour) of House District 69 have made their survey links available at in.gov/h59, in.gov/h73, and in.gov/h69 respectively.

"This survey is a great opportunity for Hoosiers to share what they care about going into the upcoming session," stated Lauer. He emphasized his eagerness to hear from constituents on various issues.

To participate, residents must complete the survey by December 31 and confirm their district residency via the Indiana General Assembly's website at iga.in.gov. They may also receive a physical copy of the survey by mail.

"Having an open line of communication between lawmakers and constituents is key to helping our communities succeed," said Meltzer. She expressed her desire to gather input from her district's residents for effective representation.

The legislative session is set to commence on January 8 and will conclude by April 29. Session details, including proposed legislation and committee hearings, can be tracked at iga.in.gov.

Lucas remarked, "Being a representative means being the voice of your constituents at the Statehouse." He encouraged his district's residents to use the survey as a platform for sharing concerns.

Hoosiers can stay informed during the session by subscribing to email newsletters via IndianaHouseRepublicans.com or contacting 317-232-9600 for updates.
