State Representatives Bruce Borders and Shane Lindauer have been appointed to serve on key House standing committees at the Statehouse. These appointments are made biennially by the Indiana House Speaker following the November election and remain in effect for the two-year term of the members.
Bruce Borders, representing Jasonville, will take on the role of vice chair of the House Local Government Committee. In addition, he will serve as a member of both the House Insurance Committee and the House Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development Committee. "Our communities thrive when local governments, businesses and families have the tools they need to succeed," Borders stated. "I'm honored to continue working on legislation that strengthens Indiana's economy and protects Hoosiers' livelihoods."
Shane Lindauer, from Jasper, has been reappointed as chair of the House Natural Resources Committee. He will also be part of the House Roads and Transportation Committee. Lindauer expressed his priorities by saying, "My top priority as chair is for us to be great stewards of the land and natural resources we have been given," adding that he is eager to continue protecting Indiana's natural resources responsibly.
