State Rep. Michelle Davis (R-Whiteland), vice chair of the House Education Committee, issued a statement in response to the Indiana Department of Education and Indiana Secretary of Education Dr. Katie Jenner releasing an updated draft of high school diploma changes.

"I'm grateful to Dr. Katie Jenner, the Indiana Department of Education and the State Board of Education for their commitment to offering students more personalized pathways to success," said Davis. "The newly proposed updates to Indiana's graduation requirements reflect the input of educators, parents and stakeholders, ensuring that students will be equipped to pursue college, a career or other training after high school. These changes will give our students the tools they need to thrive in whatever direction they choose."
