State Representative Michelle Davis, a Republican from Whiteland, presented the Hardworking Hoosier Award to Cori Arkins on November 13, 2024. The ceremony took place at the Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial in Indianapolis. Cori Arkins, a resident of Johnson County and owner of Cori Lynn Life Photography in Greenwood, was nominated for this recognition by her husband, Adam Arkins.

The Hardworking Hoosier Award is an initiative by Rep. Davis aimed at acknowledging individuals who contribute significantly to their community within House District 58. The award targets various professions including teachers, instructional aides, doctors, CNAs, librarians, mechanics, grocery store employees, and skilled laborers.

"Do you know someone who gives back to our community? Or someone who works hard to make Johnson County a better place? Now's your chance to recognize their contributions," said Rep. Davis regarding the purpose of the award.

Residents of House District 58 are eligible for nomination. Award recipients receive a certificate during a special presentation and are featured in Rep. Davis' email updates sent to constituents throughout the district.

For those interested in nominating someone for this award, further information can be found by visiting in.gov/h58.
