Rockhurst Sweeps Season’s Final GLVC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honors

Rockhurst University graduate attacker Sam Lindahl and senior goalie Hayden Harris have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men’s Lacrosse Players of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sam Lindahl, Rockhurst

Sr., A, Maplewood, Minn.

Major: MBA

Team Result: 14-8 W at Quincy (4/19) | 11-10 W (OT) vs. #8 Lindenwood (4/23)

  • Helped Rockhurst to pair of season-ending wins, including upset over eighth-ranked Lindenwood, to clinch second seed in GLVC Championship Tournament
  • Tallied 10 points on seven goals and three assists, including game-winner in OT against Lindenwood
  • Added one ground ball and three caused turnovers
  • Earns fifth career Offensive Player of the Week award (4/25/22, 4/4/22, 3/7/22, 3/25/19, 2/25/19)
  • Last Hawks’ Offensive Player of the Week: Sam Lindahl (4/4/22)
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Hayden Harris, Rockhurst

Major: Analytics and Technology

Team Result: 14-8 W at Quincy (4/19) | 11-10 W (OT) vs. #8 Lindenwood (4/23)

  • Helped Rockhurst to pair of season-ending wins, including upset over eighth-ranked Lindenwood, to clinch second seed in GLVC Championship Tournament
  • Made 29 saves with 18 against Quincy and 11 against Lindenwood
  • Recorded a .674 save percentage and 7.57 goals against average, facing 70 total shots
  • Posted nine ground balls and three caused turnovers
  • Earns second career Defensive Player of the Week award (4/25/22, 3/7/22)
