New Teachers Celebrated with Signing Day

Metropolitan School District Wayne Township recently issued the following announcement.

New Teachers Celebrated with Signing Day

Signing days aren’t just for college-bound athletes any more! MSD Wayne has put a new twist on a long-standing tradition this spring with a “signing day” for the new teachers it’s hiring for the 2022-23 school year.

Future employees such as Erika Mennonno (pictured with her parents Jackie and Mark) came to the MSD of Wayne Township Education Center on Friday, April 8 to sign their official letters. The teachers will join MSD Wayne when the new school year begins in July.

“We invited our future teachers, their family, and our Education Center staff members to come to these signing ceremonies and help celebrate this wonderful commitment,” said MSD Wayne’s Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Shenia Suggs. “It was terrific to see our staff congratulating our newest teachers. There’s nothing like a warm Wayne welcome.”

We’re hiring employees in many work categories, including bus drivers, child nutrition workers, and classroom assistants. Learn more about working in Wayne on the human resources page of our district website.
