As the new year begins, Indiana's legislative session is underway. Until the end of April, state representatives and senators will convene at the Statehouse to address significant issues affecting residents and to pass the state's upcoming two-year budget.

Constituents are encouraged to stay informed about developments at the Statehouse and to provide feedback on legislative proposals. Information on legislation being authored, co-authored, or sponsored can be accessed at in.gov/h54 by clicking on "My Legislation." Additionally, the Indiana General Assembly's updated website, iga.in.gov, offers details on bills, meeting schedules, and livestreams of committee hearings and sessions.

Regular updates are available through email newsletters. Constituents can subscribe by visiting in.gov/h54 and entering their email in the "Subscribe to eNews" box.

During this session, service will include participation in several committees: House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, House Public Policy Committee, and House Ways and Means Committee. An appointment as Assistant Majority Whip for the House Republican Caucus has also been made. These committees play a crucial role in the legislative process by allowing constituents to voice concerns on important issues and enabling lawmakers to review legislation.

There is anticipation for diligent work on behalf of constituents throughout House District 54. Feedback from residents is welcomed to ensure effective representation of community interests. The office can be contacted at 317-232-9850.
