The deadline for applications to the Indiana House Republican internship is approaching, as stated by State Representative Brad Barrett. The closing date is October 31 for those interested in participating during the 2025 legislative session.

This full-time internship runs from Monday to Friday at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, coinciding with the legislative session from January to April. Interns will receive $900 biweekly and may earn academic credit through their educational institutions.

"Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of seeing many Statehouse interns go on to do great things in their careers," said Barrett. "This program is a rewarding opportunity for students to explore different professional pathways while building confidence in their skills."

Barrett encourages college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates from all majors to apply online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship before October 31.

Interns benefit from free parking, career development assistance, and access to an Indiana government class. They are also eligible for a $3,000 scholarship for undergraduate or graduate expenses.

The program allows students to work in various departments such as legislative operations, policy, and communications.

Applications can be submitted online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship until October 31.
