Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) will receive $1 million over the next two years from Salesforce to help fund the district’s efforts to provide students with immersive, post-secondary readiness experiences.

On Monday, September 16, Salesforce announced $23 million in new grants to U.S. school districts and global nonprofits, bringing their total contribution to education initiatives to $150 million over the last 12 years.

Stephannie Bailey, CEO of the Indianapolis Public Schools Foundation, said the grant will continue a strong partnership between Salesforce and the state’s largest school district. "With Salesforce’s support, we’re able to offer critical experiences like college visits, career exploration, and summer transition programs to thousands of IPS students," Bailey said. "These opportunities can be game-changers, especially for students who might be the first in their families to consider college."

The $1 million investment from Salesforce will provide immersive, post-secondary readiness experiences, including college tours, career awareness programs, and summer transition workshops for nearly 16,000 IPS students over two years. Some key components of the grant include:

Bailey pointed out that the grant aligns with IPS’s strategic “Rebuilding Stronger” initiative and its 3E Vision—ensuring graduates are either Enrolled, Employed, or Enlisted.

With these new resources, IPS students will be better equipped for success, and the district’s partnership with the IPS Foundation will continue to ensure every student has the opportunities they deserve, she said.

Salesforce’s partnership with IPS spans seven years, demonstrating the tech company’s deep commitment to preparing students for success beyond high school. "Salesforce’s commitment to Indianapolis Public Schools goes beyond just funding," Bailey said. "For seven years, they’ve been true partners in our mission to prepare every student for success after graduation. This continued support is a testament to their belief in our students and our community."
