State Reps. Craig Snow (R-Warsaw) and David Abbott (R-Rome City) have been appointed to serve on interim study committees, which will convene throughout the summer and fall to examine policy issues and collaborate on potential solutions.

Legislators will gather testimony from the public, experts, and stakeholders as they work on bill recommendations for the upcoming budget session in January.

Snow has been assigned to the Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy. "Year after year, our state continues to maintain a balanced budget, strong reserves, and a solid credit rating," Snow stated. "With the budget being the focus of the next legislative session, we'll review the state's fiscal health, tax incentives, and workforce programs."

Abbott will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Employment and Labor and the Board of Trustees of the State Museum and Historic Sites Corp.

The 2024 legislative interim study committee assignments and other legislative appointments for House members are available online. Committee hearings typically take place at the Statehouse in Indianapolis and can be viewed live on the General Assembly's website at iga.in.gov.
