41st Annual IPS Tribute to the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Indianapolis Public Schools recently issued the following announcement.

The IPS Racial Equity Office is hosting the 41st annual tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Friday, January 14 at 10 a.m. The theme From Dream to Reality:  Equity, Justice, and Unity for All promises to be an inspiring message for all.

This year’s event features Dr. Lori S. White, president, DePauw University; Ken Sullivan, Jr. pastor, New Direction Church (Indianapolis); Dr. Patricia Payne, director, IPS Racial Equity Office; Dr. Aleesia Johnson, superintendent, IPS; and Evan Hawkins, president, IPS Board of School Commissioners.

We hope that you are able to enjoy this special celebration via livestream on Friday, or on demand afterward. 

How To Watch:

  • A livestream of the program will begin Friday, January 14, at 10 a.m. via www.myips.org.
  • You can also watch the program on demand on the IPS district website after Friday’s livestream.
