Kyla Wolfe, a native of Knox County and a North Knox High School alumna, is interning at the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2025 legislative session with State Representative Bruce Borders and his colleagues. Wolfe is preparing to graduate from Purdue University, where she studies agricultural economics and political science.

She expressed enthusiasm about her internship experience, stating, "As both a native Hoosier and an aspiring law student, the House legislative internship has been such an amazing opportunity. I get to see firsthand how laws are made and the genuine impact it has on Hoosiers all over the state."

Wolfe's responsibilities as a legislative intern include corresponding with constituents through various communication methods and participating in committee hearings and floor proceedings. Borders emphasized the significance of interns, saying, "Interns like Kyla are an important part of the legislative session by helping Hoosiers navigate state resources and assisting legislators and staff through the lawmaking process. She's getting a unique opportunity to gain essential skills and create connections that will help prepare her for her professional career."

Each year, starting at the beginning, the House of Representatives provides paid internship opportunities for college students, law students, graduate students, and recent graduates for the duration of the legislative session.
