Logansport native Myah Yax is currently interning with State Representative Ethan Manning and other members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2025 legislative session. Yax, who graduated from Logansport High School, is a junior at Purdue University majoring in psychology and political science.

"I have loved getting firsthand experience with lawmakers and the legislative process," Yax stated, expressing gratitude for the chance to meet various people through her role.

As a legislative intern, Yax's responsibilities include corresponding with constituents via phone calls, letters, and emails, as well as staffing committee hearings and floor proceedings.

"Myah is doing impactful work as a legislative intern at the Statehouse this session," Manning remarked, highlighting her helpful contributions to both members and constituents and the value of this experience for her career aspirations.

The House of Representatives provides paid internship opportunities at the beginning of each year for college students, law-school students, graduate students, and recent graduates for the annual legislative session.
