The Indiana Public Schools (IPS) Postsecondary Readiness Department is organizing a virtual session for parents and guardians of current 7th and 8th-grade students. The meeting will address the significant changes to Indiana's high school graduation requirements, which will impact incoming high school students.

The Indiana Department of Education is set to replace the traditional Core 40, Technical Honors, and Academic Honors diplomas with a new system called “Indiana Diploma and Readiness Seals.” It is important for parents to understand these changes to make informed decisions about course selection and planning their child's high school experience.

The information session is scheduled for April 21, 2025, from 6:30-7:15 p.m. on Microsoft Teams. IPS team members will provide explanations about the new requirements and answer any questions from parents.

This event presents an opportunity for parents to prepare their children for success as they transition to high school under Indiana’s new graduation framework.
