André Carson, a U.S. Congressman representing Indiana’s 7th district since 2008, recently addressed several political issues through his social media posts. His tweets focus on the integrity of Social Security, proposed budget cuts to Medicaid by Republicans, and former President Donald Trump's actions related to law enforcement.

On March 5, 2025, André Carson critiqued statements made by former President Trump regarding Social Security. "FACT CHECK: Trump lied saying he would not touch Social Security, but now he and Musk are trying to destroy it. Musk calls it the 'biggest Ponzi scheme ever.' But the fraud he's talking about simply does not exist." He emphasized that Americans deserve better.

In another post on the same day, Carson commented on Republican budget proposals. "FACT CHECK: Republicans' budget would cut Medicaid by $880 billion which would take health care away from millions. The end goal is to make the rich richer while you pay the price."

Later that day, Carson expressed concerns about President Trump's actions concerning law enforcement. "FACT CHECK: President Trump claims to stand with law enforcement. But his pardoning of January 6 insurrectionists has put officers' lives in danger, including in Indiana." He directed readers to his column in the Indianapolis Star for further details.
