André Carson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Indiana's 7th district, recently shared several statements on social media addressing various national issues and local initiatives. His posts cover topics ranging from healthcare funding to economic concerns and community engagement.

On February 12, 2025, Carson expressed concern over potential cuts to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) budget. He stated that "NIH funds lifesaving research. Cutting NIH means cutting research for childhood cancer – these NIH-funded trials can be a parent’s last hope." He criticized Republicans by saying they prefer to "line billionaires’ pockets instead of helping sick kids."

In another post dated February 13, 2025, Carson commented on economic issues under President Trump's administration. He remarked that "President Trump is creating chaos so you don’t notice the sky-high price of eggs —if you can find them on the shelves." Additionally, he noted that inflation had reached a seven-month high and implied an unelected billionaire was exerting undue influence over government affairs.

Carson also highlighted a community initiative in Indianapolis through his February 14, 2025 post. He shared that "This year, students from 32 Indianapolis schools showcased their creativity by crafting Valentine's Day cards for veterans through the annual Valentines for Vets program." These cards were delivered to veterans in hospitals and nursing homes as part of efforts to spread joy.
