State Representative Michelle Davis of Whiteland was present at the White House on February 5, 2025, for the signing of an executive order by President Donald Trump. The order, titled "No Men in Women's Sports," aims to prevent biological men from competing in female sports at both school and collegiate levels.

Davis's invitation to the event was due to her legislative efforts in Indiana focused on protecting women's sports. She has been instrumental in authoring significant legislation such as House Enrolled Act 1041 during the 2022 session and House Bill 1041 this year.

"It's an honor to join President Trump in protecting the integrity of women's sports," Davis stated. "As a former athlete and mother, I know firsthand the dedication and sacrifices female athletes make to compete at the highest levels. I have fought for these protections in Indiana and am grateful for the leadership of President Trump at the federal level to ensure a level playing field for women and girls competing in sports across the country."

The executive order signed by President Trump seeks to maintain fairness in women's sports by restricting participation based on biological sex.
