André Carson, a U.S. Congressman representing Indiana's 7th district, has shared several statements via social media addressing key legislative and social issues. Carson, who has been serving in Congress since 2008, discussed his ongoing role on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, critiqued actions by the previous administration's Justice Department, and highlighted efforts to combat Islamophobia.

On January 23, 2025, Carson expressed his pride in continuing his service on the Rail Subcommittee of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. He emphasized the positive impact of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law on Amtrak services between Chicago and Indianapolis. Carson stated that there is a need for improved rail safety legislation to meet growing demands. "I’m proud to serve another term on the @TransportDems Rail Subcommittee. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is improving @Amtrak, including routes between Chicago and Indianapolis. We need improved rail safety legislation to meet that demand."

Later that day, Carson criticized a directive from former President Trump's Justice Department which halted new civil rights cases or investigations. He described this as an abandonment of constitutional duties to uphold the law and accused Trump of ignoring existing discrimination issues. "Trump's Justice Department ordered an immediate halt to all new civil rights cases or investigations — an abdication of the constitutional duty to uphold the law."

On January 24, 2025, Carson addressed rising Islamophobia and deportation efforts by promoting a resolution for Muslim American Heritage Month alongside other lawmakers such as Senator Cory Booker and Representatives Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Linda Simon. The resolution acknowledges the contributions of Muslim Americans while advocating against bigotry. "Amidst rising Islamophobia and deportation efforts, my Muslim American Heritage Month resolution with @SenBooker @RepRashida @Ilhan and @RepLSimon recognizes the importance of Muslim Americans in our country."
