Applications are now open for the Indiana House Page Program during the 2025 legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. Hendricks County legislators have announced that students aged 13 to 18 are invited to participate.

State Representative Greg Steuerwald (R-Avon) stated, "Students can learn a lot about their state's legislature and history by participating in the page program and touring the Statehouse." He expressed his anticipation of meeting young Hoosiers from Hendricks County during this year's session.

State Representative Jeff Thompson (R-Lizton) emphasized the importance of civic engagement, saying, "Serving as a page is a hands-on way for students to learn more about how laws are made."

The application process is available online at IndianaHouseRepublicans.com/PageProgram. The legislative session begins today and concludes by April 29. Interested students will have opportunities to page on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Large groups may participate on Wednesdays only.

State Representative Craig Haggard (R-Mooresville) remarked, "The page program is an enriching opportunity for Hoosier youth to get civically involved and interact with lawmakers."

State Representative Becky Cash (R-Zionsville) noted that pages will receive an excused absence from school and highlighted that visiting the Statehouse offers educational benefits: "From listening to debates to meeting local legislators, pages get an up-close look at their state government."

Students must arrange their own lunch and transportation for their visit to Indianapolis.
