Applications are now open for the Indiana House Page Program during the 2025 legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. This announcement was made by State Representatives Michael Aylesworth (R-Hebron) and Matt Commons (R-Williamsport).

Representative Aylesworth highlighted that students aged 13 to 18 from Indiana, known as Hoosiers, are invited to participate in this program. They will assist lawmakers and staff, tour the Indiana Statehouse, and listen to legislative sessions.

"The student page program is such a great opportunity for young Hoosiers to learn about government by actually participating in session," said Aylesworth. "Eligible students should sign up for the opportunity to meet their local lawmakers and explore the Statehouse."

The application process is currently active on IndianaHouseRepublicans.com/PageProgram. The program offers available days throughout the legislative session starting January 8 and concluding by April 29.

Commons expressed enthusiasm about engaging with students from House District 13: "The Indiana House Page Program is a great way for young Hoosiers to experience our state's legislative session," he stated. "I am excited to get to know students from House District 13 and show them what part a representative plays in the lawmaking process."

Students can choose to page on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the session, receiving an excused absence from school. Large groups are accommodated on Wednesdays only. Group scheduling inquiries can be directed to the page program director at 317-232-9410 or via email at pageprogram@iga.in.gov.

Participants must arrange their own lunch and transportation to and from Indianapolis' Statehouse.

State Representative Michael Aylesworth represents House District 11, covering parts of Jasper, Lake, Newton, and Porter counties.
