Local lawmakers in Madison County are encouraging residents to participate in an online survey ahead of the 2025 legislative session. This initiative aims to gather feedback on key issues from constituents.

Residents can access the survey by visiting their state representative's webpage and clicking on the "Take My Survey" button. The participating representatives include State Rep. Lori Goss-Reaves (R-Marion), State Rep. Chris Jeter (R-Fishers), State Rep. Ethan Lawson (R-Greenfield), State Rep. Kyle Pierce (R-Anderson), and State Rep. Elizabeth Rowray (R-Yorktown).

"As a state representative, I’m committed to ensuring that my legislative efforts align with what my constituents care about," Goss-Reaves stated. She emphasized the importance of the survey as a means for constituents to express their views on significant topics.

To take part in the survey, individuals must reside within the district and submit their responses by December 31. Constituents can verify their district through the Indiana General Assembly's website by using the "Find Your Legislator" tool.

Newly elected State Rep. Ethan Lawson expressed his eagerness to receive direct feedback from his community, stating, "Your feedback will prepare me to represent you effectively and ensure our community's needs are addressed in the upcoming session."

State Rep. Kyle Pierce highlighted the survey's role in understanding constituent priorities: "Every response will influence the issues we focus on throughout the year."

The legislative session is set to begin on January 8 and conclude by April 29, 2025. Residents can stay informed about proceedings via iga.in.gov, where they can also view proposed legislation and watch committee hearings live.

State Rep. Chris Jeter encouraged participation as the session approaches: "As we get closer to the start of session, I encourage constituents to set aside a few minutes to complete this survey."

State Rep. Elizabeth Rowray added her anticipation for constituent input: "I’m eager to hear from constituents and their input on important issues this year.”
