With the upcoming legislative session in Indiana, lawmakers from Marion County are urging residents to participate in online surveys to provide feedback on key issues. Hoosiers can access these surveys by visiting their state representative's webpage and selecting the "Take My Survey" option.

The representatives participating include State Rep. Bob Behning (R-Indianapolis) for House District 91, State Rep. Andrew Ireland (R-Indianapolis) for House District 90, State Rep. Chris Jeter (R-Fishers) for House District 88, and State Rep. Julie McGuire (R-Indianapolis) for House District 93.

"It's important to hear what's on the minds of Hoosiers in my district," said Behning. He encourages constituents to share their opinions as preparations for the next legislative session continue.

Ireland, beginning his first term, stated, "As I start my first term as a state representative, I hope constituents will use my survey to make their voices heard on how we can keep Indiana moving in the right direction."

To complete these surveys, participants must reside within the district and submit responses by December 31. Residents can verify their district by visiting the Indiana General Assembly's website at iga.in.gov and using the "Find Your Legislator" feature.

McGuire emphasized the importance of feedback: "Feedback from the Hoosiers I serve is crucial to making effective change on the state level." She sees this as an opportunity for constituents to voice their concerns on significant topics.

The legislative session is set to begin on January 8 and conclude by April 29. Residents can track proceedings at iga.in.gov, where they will find information about proposed legislation and livestreams of hearings and sessions.

Jeter remarked on community engagement: "Learning what's on the minds of Hoosiers in our community is important when considering proposed legislation." He encourages constituents to take a few minutes to complete the survey as the session approaches.

For ongoing updates during the legislative session, Hoosiers can subscribe to email newsletters via IndianaHouseRepublicans.com or contact 317-232-9600.
