State Representative Cindy Ledbetter from Newburgh has been appointed to serve on three significant House committees. Her roles will include membership in the House Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee, the House Insurance Committee, and the House Public Health Committee.

Ledbetter expressed her enthusiasm for these appointments, stating, "As a nurse practitioner, I look forward to using my experience in the health care industry to help alleviate some of its challenges, such as affordability and access to care." She also emphasized her commitment to representing her district effectively during this session at the Statehouse.

Committee appointments are determined by the Indiana House Speaker every two years following the November elections. These appointments remain effective throughout members' two-year terms.
