State Rep. Matt Lehman (R-Berne) has been re-elected as House Majority Floor Leader and appointed to three significant House committees. Lehman will serve on the House Insurance Committee, the House Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development Committee, and the House Public Policy Committee.

"These committees are the starting point in tackling issues that constituents are facing to ensure their voices are heard," said Lehman. "During the 2025 legislative session, I look forward to examining key policy areas that impact our district such as supporting economic development and the continual discussion regarding health care access and cost."

Committee appointments are made by the Indiana House Speaker every two years after the November election. These appointments last for members' two-year terms.

The first day of the 2025 legislative session is scheduled for January 8 at 1:30 p.m. Hoosiers can visit iga.in.gov to find legislation, view calendars, and watch committee meetings and sessions.

Lehman encourages constituents to visit in.gov/h79 to sign up for e-newsletter updates about Statehouse activities throughout the legislative session and beyond.
