State Representatives Cory Criswell and Lindsay Patterson have been appointed to serve on key House standing committees at the Statehouse. These appointments are made biennially by the Indiana House Speaker after the November election and last for the members' two-year terms.
Criswell will be a member of the House Environmental Affairs Committee, House Public Policy Committee, and House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee. "From public safety to economic development, these committees play a crucial role in shaping Indiana’s future," Criswell stated. He expressed his eagerness to work with fellow legislators and contribute on behalf of his constituents.
Patterson will join the House Environmental Affairs Committee, House Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee, and House Roads and Transportation Committee. She emphasized that committees are responsible for vetting bills through public testimony and amendments. "Supporting Indiana and protecting Hoosiers is our focus throughout each committee," Patterson said. She is committed to working on policies that strengthen families, provide resources, and ensure opportunities for success across the state.
The first day of the 2025 legislative session is scheduled for January 8 at 1:30 p.m. Hoosiers can visit iga.in.gov to access legislation information, view calendars, and watch committee meetings.
