State Representative Lindsay Patterson from Brookville has been appointed to three significant House committees. She will serve on the House Environmental Affairs Committee, the House Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee, and the House Roads and Transportation Committee. According to Patterson, these committees are tasked with vetting bills, hearing public testimony, and considering amendments.

"Supporting Indiana and protecting Hoosiers is our focus throughout each committee," Patterson stated. "I’m committed to working on policies that strengthen families, provide critical resources and ensure every individual has the opportunity to be successful throughout our state."

The appointments to the House standing committees are made biennially by the Indiana House Speaker following the November election. These appointments remain effective for members' two-year terms.

The upcoming legislative session is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Residents of Indiana can access iga.in.gov to find legislation details, view calendars, and watch committee meetings and sessions.

Patterson encourages her constituents to visit in.gov/h55 to subscribe for e-newsletter updates about activities at the Statehouse during and beyond the legislative session.
